HC Deb 21 June 1973 vol 858 c184W
Mr. Golding

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) what was the number of operating theatres in hospitals in England and Wales which were used less intensively in February, March and April than that at the City General Hospital, Stoke-on-Trent, due to a shortage of nursing staff;

(2) what was the number of hospitals in England and Wales in which more than 25 sessions a month in operating theatres have had to be cancelled due to the lack of trained nursing staff during the last 12 months; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Alison

I regret that the information is not available.
