Mr. Douglas-Mannasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether any, and if so what, applications for dispensation from the obligations 122W under the Caravan Sites Act have been made by the Kensington and Chelsea borough council; and what decision has been made on any such application.
§ Mr. Graham PageKensington and Chelsea London borough council has applied for exemption from the duty under the Caravan Sites Act 1968 to provide accommodation for gipsies and for the designation of its area under the Act. The Department has recently had a meeting with the council and has invited it to provide further information in support of its applications.
