§ Sir K. JosephI expect to receive later in the year Lady Sharp's report in the light of which the further development of invalid vehicles will, along with other matters, need to be considered. In the meantime in spite of the reports in the Press there is no doubt about the safety of the existing vehicles which are currently providing thousands of severely disabled people with a degree of independent mobility they would not otherwise enjoy and which, my correspondence shows, they greatly appreciate.
