Mr. Normantonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what representations he has received from the Cheadle-Wilmslow area on the question of the need for a hospital to be provided; when the representations were first made; and what plans he has for meeting the increased requirement for such facilities.
§ Mr. AlisonNine bodies and individuals, including my hon. Friend, have made representations to my right hon. Friend on the subject generally since he announced his decision in March 1971 that a district general hospital should not be built at Wilmslow Road, Cheadle. No final decision has yet been made about future hospital provision for the area.
