§ Mr. Eldon GriffithsThe local authorities which are responsible for enforcing the Deposit of Poisonous Waste Act are not required to make any regular reports on the number or nature of dumping incidents. Officers of my Department are always ready to offer advice and assistance to them when called upon to do so. I am glad to say that there has been a marked reduction in the number of reported dumping incidents since the passage of the Act which contains severe deterrent penalties.
