§ Mr Juddasked the Minister of State for Defence whether he will make a statement on the future policy for cooperation between the British and Libyan navies with special reference to the current difficulties being encountered by Royal Naval personnel involved in training members of the Libyan Navy.
§ Mr. BuckOur policy on co-operation with the Libyan Navy is kept under review. As to suggestions in the Press that Royal Naval personnel are encountering difficulties in training members of the Libyan Navy, I have had the matter investigated but I have discovered no foundation for these suggestions.
