asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what estimate he has made of additional jobs in oil refining in Scotland by 1980.

Until final decisions have been taken on applications for refinery developments in Scotland, I am unable to estimate the number of additional jobs which will accrue from such developments either in the next two years or by 1980.
