HC Deb 12 June 1973 vol 857 cc306-7W
Mr. Rost

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will make a statement on the arrangements for making copies of the Bank of England's Annual Report and Accounts available to the public.

Mr. Nott

At present the Bank of England's Annual Report and Accounts are available from Her Majesty's Stationery Office and from the Bank of England. The number of copies supplied through Her Majesty's Stationery Office is small. In order to save administrative costs, copies will in future be available only from the bank, which will supply them to the pubic on request, free of charge. The existing arrangements for presenting the report to Parliament and making copies available to Members are not affected.
