§ Mr. Oramasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what preparations are being made for British participation in World Population Year in 1974; whether he proposes to establish a national committee for this purpose; and to what extent it will be possible for voluntary bodies with expert knowledge of population problems to play a part in any such committee.
§ Mr. AmeryPreparations for British participation in the World Population Year are being made through the normal interdepartmental machinery. We do not, therefore, propose to establish a national committee for this purpose. Expert voluntary bodies will have every opportunity to express their views.
