asked the Secretary of State for Wales what percentage of secondary school children in Wales is in comprehensive schools; and what the percentage is expected to be by the end of the year.

In September 1972, the latest date for which information is available, 73 per cent. of the secondary school children in Wales attended comprehensive schools. The figure for this September is likely to be about 80 per cent.
