Dr. Sunimerskillasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether there have been any recent increases in the expenditure levels on the training of nurses; and, if not, why not.
§ Sir K. JosephExpenditure on nurse training by the General Nursing Council in England in the financial year 1972–73 is provisionally estimated at £8–2 million which is 32 per cent. more than in the financial year 1970–71. For the current financial year 1973–74 I have approved a further increase in expenditure to £8–6 million.
