asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the number of health centres in the United Kingdom; and where they are situated.

At 30th June there were 533 health centres in operation in the United Kingdom, 405 in England, 47 in Wales, 46 in Scotland and 35 in Northern Ireland. I have sent my hon. Friend a list indicating their location.
