asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he can now state what annual sum is to be made available from the EEC budget as regional aid for assisted areas in the United Kingdom.

No. The Commission has not yet put forward specific proposals on the Regional Development Fund. It will not be possible to estimate United Kingdom receipts until final agreement between member States has been reached later this year.
