HC Deb 24 July 1973 vol 860 c556W
Mr. Edwin Wainwright

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what was the percentage of general practitioners in relation to the population in the Yorkshire and Humberside Region at the latest available date; and how that figure compares with the national average per 100,000 population.

Mr. Alison

In the Yorkshire and Humberside Region the proportion of general practitioners at 1st April 1973 in relation to the population at 30th June 1972 was 4075 per 100,000. The comparable figure for England was 43–22 per 100,000.
