§ Mr. CarlisleThe latest corrected figure for offences of murder known to the police in England and Wales in 1972 is 149; in 145 cases the victims were aged one year or over.
The figures for offences of theft where the value of goods stolen exceeds £10 are not recorded separately. Figures for theft involving goods valued at over £5, together with the remainder of the information, will be published about the end of August in the Criminal Statistics for England and Wales for 1972.
