HC Deb 24 July 1973 vol 860 cc464-5W
Mr. David Reed

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a breakdown of employment, by standard industrial classification, on the Aycliffe Industrial Estate at the latest available date and for comparable dates in 1968, 1963, and 1958.

Mr. Anthony Grant

Employment on the estate covers a wide range of industries and a breakdown by standard industrial classification is not readily available for all four years. The numbers employed in June of each of the years under broad headings are as follows:

general level of prices of foodstuffs is reasonably stable, and until provision has been made to prevent the new measures being used as a device to increase the level of prices.

Mr. Emery
