asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what commitments are to be undertaken by EEC States in the second stage of EEC economic and monetary union.

The Council of Ministers will be considering later in the year what measures should form part of the second stage of economic and monetary union, which is to begin on 1st January 1974.
