38. Mr. Iremonger

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he is taking to obtain the views of members of the Redbridge Borough Council on his consultative paper on public participation in trunk road planning.

Local authorities were invited on 27th March to express views by 11th May. The views of members of the Redbridge Borough Council have not been submitted either before or after that date. We hope to make a further announcement shortly and I am not taking any further steps to obtain views.
