22. Mr. Clark Hutchison

asked the Sectary of State for Scotland whether, in view of his historic buildings investigators' recommendation that the buildings at 274–278 Canongate and 2–68 St. Mary's Street, Edinburgh, should be included in a statutory list of buildings of architectural or historic importance, and as such inclusion need not await revision of the whole Edinburgh or Scottish lists, he will immediately give his decision on this matter.

I do not think there is any compelling reason why these particular buildings should be considered in isolation.
