asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will make an announcement about the supplementary report of the Doctors' and Dentists' Review Body on the salaries of doctors who will be filling posts in community medicine in the reorganised National Health Service.

LORD ABERDARE

The Supplement to the Doctors' and Dentists' Review Body's Third Report on Community Medicine salaries which I referred to in my reply to the noble Lord's Question on July 5 has been published to-day as a Command Paper. Copies are available in the Printed Paper Office. Her Majesty's Government are satisfied that the recommendations which are for the period April, 1973, to March, 1974, are consistent with the Pay Code, and are ready to accept them. Her Majesty's Government are most grateful to the noble Earl, Lord Halsbury, and his colleagues for producing their advice so rapidly.
