§ Mr. Grimondasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will make representations to the International Wool Textile Organisation Conference against the French proposal that the term "Shetland" should be deprived of any geographical significance.
§ Mr. Anthony GrantThe practicability of defining "Shetland" is being studied by our own wool textile industry in the light of the French desire to do so. At this stage I think it is right to leave the industrial interests concerned to pursue the question in the International Wool Textile Organisation, which is an industry body.
