§ Mr. Eadieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on his refusal to allow the Scottish Special Housing Association to borrow money for the provision of central heating despite the willingness of nationalised industries to enter such an agreement.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellThe installation of central heating may be authorised in new houses and as part of the more general improvement of older houses. I am at present considering a proposal by the association for a pilot project aimed at providing central heating in its older houses over a period of years.
