§ Mrs. ThatcherMineral surveys are not undertaken on a regional basis as implied by the Question. An assessment of mineral resources in selected areas of the United Kingdom is being carried out by the Institute of Geological Sciences under a contract with the Department of Trade and Industry. The programme includes at least two areas in Scotland.
