§ Mr. CarlisleI am informed by the Chief Constable of Bedfordshire and Luton that 8,345 shotgun certificates and 1,479 firearm certificates were in force in his police area at the end of 1971. More recent information, and information to answer the second part of the Question, could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
