Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Prime Minister if he is satisfied with the cooperation and co-ordination which exists between the Department of Health and Social Security, the Department of Education and Science, the Department of Employment, and local authorities, for the provision of equipment necessary for the education of the disabled child.
§ The Prime MinisterThe provision of equipment for the education of handicapped children is a matter primarily for local education authorities. I am satisfied that my right hon. Friends' Departments co-operate closely with each other and with local authorities about this matter.
