§ Mr. Peter ThomasThe provisions are in Section 27 of the Local Government Act 1972. Where there is a parish council now there will be a community council on 1st April 1974. In addition, I have directed the establishment of community councils for the boroughs and urban districts named in my replies to the hon. § Mr. Peter ThomasI have directed the establishment of community councils for the urban districts of Bedwas and Machen, Gelligaer and Rhymney. Community councils will suceeed the parish councils in the parts of Cardiff rural district included in the Rhymney Valley district. Bedwellty and Caerphilly Urban District Councils did not ask for directions.
