§ Mr. EyreAs stated in the recent White Paper "Better Homes—The Next Priorities", the Government are proposing to extend the powers of local authorities to enable them to compel minimum standards of improvement to tenanted dwellings in general improvement areas, and to a wider range of dwellings within the proposed housing action areas.
