§ 45. Mr. Edwin Wainwrightasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many males and females were registered as unemployed at the Mexborough and 300W Wombwell employment exchanges, respectively, at the latest available date; and what action his Department is taking to find work for these people.
§ Mr. Dudley SmithOn 11th June there were 942 males and 167 females unemployed in the Mexborough area and 338 males and 52 females in Wombwell. All of the facilities of our employment and training services are available to help unemployed workers to find new jobs. The number of young people employed by the Community Industry Scheme in Mexborough is being increased.
