§ Mr. Topeasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) whether she has studied the recent report "Education for our Future", published by the Conservation Trust; and what action she proposes to take on matters within her responsibility arising from this report;
(2) whether she will issue a circular to all local authorities outlining a series of educational priorities in respect of the study of ecology and the environment.
§ Mrs. ThatcherI am studying the report and shall consider whether there is any action for me to take. The school 319W curriculum is the responsibility of local education authorities, governing bodies and head teachers.
