HC Deb 09 July 1973 vol 859 cc276-7W
Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what are the purpose and cost of the present works on and near the processional drive at Stormont.

Mr. van Sfraubenzee

The roads and footpaths of the processional drive, Stormont, were constructed in 1931–32 and now require complete renewal. Drainage improvement works are also being carried out.

The total estimated cost is £200,000 and the contract is providing employment for about 30 men for nine months.
