§ Mr. Leadbitterasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will request regional hospital boards and hospital management committees to provide the fullest co-operation with union branch officials seeking to discuss issues concern- 280W lation since these certificates are not among those which National Health Service doctors are required to provide free of charge under their terms of service. The amount of such charges is a private matter between doctor and patient, but I understand that the British Medical Association gives doctors guidance on the subject.
