HC Deb 09 July 1973 vol 859 c264W
Mrs. Lena Jeger

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what decision he has made on the Camden Council's proposed Compulsory Purchase Order on the offices and 36 flats in Centre Point; and whether he will refuse planning applications for further office building in central London until Centre Point and similar vacant blocks have been occupied.

Mr. Rippon

There is no Compulsory Purchase Order before me in respect of the offices and I have not yet made a decision on the order relating to the 36 flats in Centre Point. The handling of planning applications for office buildings in central London is a matter for the local planning authorities.
