§ 41. Mr. Roseasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will amend the Race Relations Acts to permit the Race Relations Board to act upon its own initiative in seeking to prevent discrimination within the scope of the Race Relations Acts.
§ Mr. LaneWe have noted the recommendations of the Race Relations Board, and are keeping this matter under review. At present, however, my right hon. Friend has no plans to bring legislation before Parliament that would extend the board's powers to initiate investigations.
