§ Mr. Gurdenasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, in view of the Birmingham University survey of parental opinion on the attitude to fluoridation of water and dental health, he will introduce legislation on the matter.
§ Sir K. JosephI have read this survey report with interest. Local health authorities have powers to make arrangements for the fluoridation of public water supplies and will no doubt take the survey into account when reaching a decision on this matter, without any intervention from me.
