§ Mr. Deakinsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government towards the EEC draft directive on approximation of laws relating to bread.
§ Mrs. FennerThe proposal for an EEC directive on bread was based mainly on the laws and practices in the original six member States. It has now been withdrawn by the European Commission for re-examination to take account of the enlargement of the Community. There will be full consultation with trade and consumer interests in the United Kingdom on any revised proposals.
