Mr. Hooson

asked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications (1) what percentage of homes in the Mid-Wales area are unable to receive BBC Wales programmes on television;

(2) how many homes in the Mid-Wales area can receive only one television channel;

(3) how many homes in the Mid-Wales area are unable to receive any television programmes;

(4) how many homes in the Mid-Wales area are able to receive BBC2 programmes on television.

The BBC tells me that 59 per cent. of the population of Mid-Wales are unable to receive BBC Wales and 21 per cent. any television programme; 38 per cent. can receive one television programme; 16 per cent. can receive BBC2.
