HC Deb 04 July 1973 vol 859 c106W
24. Sir J. Langford-Holt

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, as during the first four months of 1973 members of the Nigerian High Commission have been guilty of 1,276 parking offences for which the High Commissioner has claimed diplomatic immunity, and as this figure is 779 more than that for any other embassy or high commission, what requests he has made to the High Commissioner of Nigeria that his staff should conform to the parking regulations in the United Kingdom.

Lord Balniel

We have written to the High Commissioner twice during the last few months and are now in touch with him again in an effort to resolve this problem.
