§ 49. Mr. Gryllsasked the Secretary of State for Employment how much aid the United Kingdom expects to receive for retraining and improving the conditions of migrant workers under the EEC Social Affairs Budget in the year 1973–74.
§ Mr. Chichester-ClarkThe Government have made an initial application for approximately £31 million. Of this total roughly £2 million is for assistance to workers who transfer to employment away from their homes in the United Kingdom. A further £23 million is for retraining schemes in assisted areas.
