§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will list any ores containing thorium which have been discovered in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Anthony GrantOres of thorium were not specifically sought during the 75W five-year programme which has recently been completed. They do not normally occur in the same environment as uranium ores, though, as they are radioactive, they would have been detected if present. None in commercial quantities was, however, found.
