§ 34. Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services why he has appointed only persons coming from the hospital sector as chairmen of regional health authorities in England and if this indicates a change of policy from that declared during the passage of the Bill 61W that the reorganised National Health Service would not mean a take-over of the other two sectors by the hospital sector.
§ Sir K. JosephAlthough the chairmen whom I propose to appoint have had some service on hospital authorities some have had equal or longer experience in local government. There is accordingly no question of any change in Government policy.
