§ Mr. Simeonsasked the Prime Minister if, in his consideration of the measures to be included in phase 3, he will take account of the special problems regarding payment to those in key positions in small firms, which the CBI do not represent, whereby a person taken on by a different firm can be paid considerably more than he received in his previous job.
§ The Prime MinisterThe Price and Pay Code applies to pay in all firms even if they are small enough not to be required to notify pay increases to the Pay Board. The pay of new employees and pay for new work are covered by paragraphs 132 and 133 of the code.
