HC Deb 02 July 1973 vol 859 c4W
Mr. Gower

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement on the development of tourism in Wales.

Mr. Peter Thomas

In 1971 the revenue from tourism in Wales was £130 million. The tourist industry in Wales has been growing at an encouraging rate and the Government will continue to foster its development by financial and other means, so that it may make a substantial and increasing contribution to the economy of Wales.
