HC Deb 02 July 1973 vol 859 c31W
Mr. Gwynoro Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many jobs have been created in Carmarthenshire since June 1970, and how many people have been made redundant, giving figures under each employment classification.

Mr. Dudley Smith

Accurate figures for jobs created are not available owing to the lack of information on the service sector, in which approximately half of the insured employees of Carmarthenshire work, and to the discontinuing of industrial development certificate control in development areas in July 1972.
