HL Deb 30 January 1973 vol 338 cc579-80WA
THE EARL OF SELKIRK

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether it is proposed to construct dual-carriageways on the stretch of the A.31 trunk road known as Poulner Hill which was originally scheduled for completion in 1968.

THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDERSECRETARY OF STATE, DEPARTMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT (LORD SANDFORD)

Dual-carriageways will only be provided on Poulner Hill, West of Forest Corner, if proposals for the Poulner Lane diversion to the West are approved. Meanwhile, work on a single carriageway road to replace the existing Poulner Hill section of A.31 should start in the spring and be completed early next year.
