HC Deb 28 February 1973 vol 851 c383W
Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the policy of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive concerning the sale of public authority accommodation.

Mr. van Straubenzee

The Northern Ireland Housing Executive is formulating a general policy governing the sale of public authority housing accommodation, in consultation with the Ministry of Development and the Northern Ireland Housing Council.

A policy has already been established for the sale of pre-war labourers' cottages to sitting tenants or, in the case of vacant cottages, by public auction, if there is no local demand for accommodation from the executive's waiting list.
