§ Mr. AlisonNurses in the National Health Service received a pay increase of about 8 per cent. from 1st April 1972. The latest available figures from the general retail prices index show that in the nine months from March to December 1972 prices increased by about 6.2 per cent. The date of any further pay increase is a matter for negotiation on the Nurses and Midwives Whitley Council.
