§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will now recognise the Regional Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association as a separate negotiating body on behalf of its members.
§ Sir K. JosephRepresentation of National Health Service staff in negotiations is a matter in the first instance for the staff themselves. I understand that there have been discussions on the question of representation between the Regional Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association and the Central Committee for Hospital Medical Services, but the association has asked for a meeting with the Department and this will shortly be held.
