VISCOUNT HOOD

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether an assurance can be given that no civil servant who refrains from taking industrial action will subsequently lose his job because of pressures on management by his Trade Union or his colleagues.

THE EARL JELLICOE

My Lords, I have no hesitation in giving such an assurance.

House adjourned at twenty-four minutes past eight o'clock.
