§ Mr. Anthony GrantTotal new registrations of motor cars in the United Kingdom in 1972 totalled 1.64 million, of which 23.5 per cent. were of foreign manufacture. Japanese cars accounted for 3 per cent. of total new registrations or 13 per cent. of new registrations of foreign manufacture.
