§ Mr. Woodhouseasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will propose in the appropriate agencies of the United Nations the initiation of international action for the relief of famine in Northern India.
§ Mr. WoodIndia is a member of the appropriate United Nations agencies, including the World Food Programme. The Government of India are, therefore, able to call for any international action which they may think necessary.
